SCIENCE FAIR INFORMATION 2006

The dates for this year's science fair are March 9 - 10th, 2006. We are doing a two day fair this year instead of the 10 day.

Embry-Riddle will be accepting projects for 5th-12th grades only. Tri-City Prep High School will be doing the science fair for K-4th grades. For more information on K-4th grade entries, please contact:

Our goal is to focus our attention and resources on this age group, with the hope of truly inspiring the pursuit of scientific study as a career and lifelong passion. We hope to achieve this by working with teachers in workshops, involving academia and professionals from our communities as judges and offering more substantial rewards for outstanding projects.

Effective with the Science Fair in March of 2006, ERAU will accommodate participation for grades 5 through 12 only. We plan to have a condensed three-day format and hope to incorporate contestant interviews with the judging. The project registration deadline of February 24, 2006 will remain the same. We will have more information regarding schedule and registration available for you via mail and the website by October 31.

As you can see, we have an ambitious plan before us and will be needing support in many areas to make it happen. We look forward to working with many teachers, professionals, and scientists to bring this plan to fruition. As always, any questions can be directed to scifair@erau.edu or by calling (928) 777-3902.

Sincerely,
Kelly Ferrell
